The short version
- 14 days from dispatch to change your mind on any part — no fault required.
- 30 days from dispatch warranty on mechanical and electrical parts that turn out to be faulty.
- Body panels and trim are sold as described. We won't accept these back unless they were misdescribed.
- The original numbered tag must still be attached to the part when it comes back to us. Without it we can't approve the refund.
- Buyer pays return shipping unless the part was misdescribed or faulty on arrival.
- 30% restocking fee when a part is returned because the buyer ordered the wrong one for their vehicle — see below.
If you buy a part that doesn't fit your vehicle because it was ordered incorrectly — wrong model, wrong year, wrong side, wrong variant — the return is at your cost and we will retain 30% of the item price as a restocking fee. The remaining 70% is refunded once we receive the part in the same condition it was sent, with the original numbered tag attached.
This fee covers the handling, testing, re-photographing and re-listing work each return generates on our side. You can avoid it entirely by messaging us your registration or VIN before you buy — we'll confirm fitment against our stock in writing before you place the order.
14-day change of mind
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day the part is delivered to cancel and return it for any reason. The part must be in the same condition we sent it — clean, complete, and with the original numbered tag attached.
Start a return from your order page at /orders using your order number and email. We'll issue an RMA code and packing instructions.
30-day warranty: mechanical & electrical
Mechanical and electrical parts (engines, gearboxes, ECUs, alternators, starters, sensors, actuators, etc.) come with a 30-day return-to-base warranty from the dispatch date. If a part is faulty on arrival or fails within 30 days through no fault of installation, we'll refund it in full or provide a like-for-like replacement.
We may ask for diagnostic evidence — fault codes, photos, a brief written description of the symptoms — before approving the return. This is to rule out fitment errors or damage caused during installation, neither of which is covered.
Body panels and trim
Body panels, interior trim, glass, and cosmetic parts are sold as described. Every listing shows multiple photos of the actual part — please look carefully and ask any questions before buying. We won't accept these back if you change your mind, but we will refund you in full if the part was misdescribed or arrived damaged.
The original numbered tag
Every part we ship has a numbered KTS tag attached. Do not remove it — without that tag, we can't verify the part came from us, and we can't approve the refund. If the tag is missing, swapped, damaged, or doesn't match our records when the package arrives back, the return will be rejected and the part returned to you at your cost.
Return shipping
- You pay return shipping for change-of-mind returns.
- We pay return shipping if the part was misdescribed, damaged in transit, or faulty on arrival.
- For large items we'll arrange a courier collection — please don't book your own pallet.
How to start a return
- Go to /orders and look up your order with the email address you used at checkout.
- Click Request return and tell us briefly what's wrong.
- You'll get an RMA code by email along with packing instructions.
- Write the RMA code clearly on the outside of the parcel, leave the original numbered tag attached, and post it back to our yard.
- Once we receive and check the part we'll process your refund within 5 working days.
Refund timing
Refunds go back to the card you paid with via Stripe. Once we've approved the return, the refund typically appears in your account within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank.
Wrong-part returns & the 30% restocking fee
If you buy a part that turns out not to fit your vehicle because it was ordered incorrectly — wrong model, wrong year, wrong side, wrong variant, wrong trim — we will accept the return under the 14-day change-of-mind window, but we retain 30% of the item price as a restocking fee. The remaining 70% is refunded to the card you paid with once we receive and inspect the part.
This fee reflects the real cost each incorrect return puts on our team: unpacking, re-testing, re-photographing, re-listing, and holding the stock while the wrong-fit dispute is resolved. It is not a penalty — it's the recovery of that work.
You can avoid this fee entirely by asking us to confirm fitment BEFORE you buy. Send us your vehicle registration or VIN via /contact or eBay message and we'll check the part against your specific vehicle in writing. Any return we then accept for a fitment issue on a part we confirmed is at our cost, not yours.
Return shipping on wrong-part-ordered returns is also paid by the buyer.
What we can't accept back
- Parts modified, machined, painted, or otherwise altered after delivery.
- Parts damaged by incorrect installation.
- Electrical parts that have been wired in and powered up if there's no fault we can verify.
- Parts returned without the original numbered tag.
- Body panels and trim returned as "change of mind" (only misdescribed or transit-damaged).
